Hello — I'm Jordan.
An Australian children's author and early childhood educator based in Orange, in the Central West of New South Wales. I write picture books for children aged 3–8 who feel big things, and for the grown-ups who love them.

My journey with children began in 2021 with in-home private care for a young boy with additional needs. Those one-on-one days taught me how powerful patience, trust and consistency can be — and how much a child can grow when they feel truly seen.
In 2024 I began my formal early childhood education journey in a long day care centre in regional New South Wales. It's where I first fell in love with this work — with the quiet, everyday moments that shape a child's sense of who they are.
In the years since, I've worked closely with many children one-on-one, supporting them as they develop emotional regulation, resilience, confidence, friendships, communication skills and positive behaviours. Some of my most meaningful moments have happened on the mat with a book open between us, or on the floor with a child who was too overwhelmed for words.
Those experiences are what led me to writing. I wanted to create children's books that make social-emotional learning engaging, meaningful and genuinely enjoyable — stories children ask for again and again, not because they're being taught something, but because they simply love them.
I completed my Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care in 2024, and in 2026 I began studying my Diploma of Early Childhood Education & Care. I plan to keep studying beyond that too, so I can continue growing my knowledge and make an even bigger impact on children's learning and wellbeing.
My goal is simple: to write stories children genuinely enjoy while naturally teaching emotional intelligence, kindness, empathy, resilience, confidence and problem-solving. Warm books that sit somewhere between a cuddle and a conversation — the kind I wish I'd had more of when I first started out in the room.
